Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio W-760 men’s digital alarm chronograph sports watch, produced during the 1980s for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) and powered by Module 548. This model represents one of Casio’s early high-performance digital sports designs, featuring 100M water resistance and a durable stainless steel case — a hallmark of Casio’s robust engineering era.
The watch is in full working condition, and all features and functions operate properly, including timekeeping, alarm, stopwatch, and backlight. It is fitted with an aftermarket strap, while all other components remain original.
Physically, the watch is in good condition, showing signs of use and age consistent with its vintage nature. The LCD display is slightly light/faded, which is common on these older Casio screens and does not affect readability or performance.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY
Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
